Kendra Hamblin enjoys a rich performing career. She has performed as a soloist with the Emerald Singers, the Salt Lake City Men’s Chorus, and the Utah Valley University Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared regularly with the Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra, Utah Flute Choir, and several churches. Ms. Hamblin serves as associate principal flutist in the Meadows Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble and served as principal flute of the Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra at Utah Valley University for three years. She is an active member of the National LGBT Flute Choir. She has performed in operas and Broadway-style musicals, including La Bohéme, The Tales of Hoffman, Oklahoma!, Guys and Dolls, and Fiddler on the Roof,

to name a few. She won the UVU concerto competition and has received awards at the MTNA Young Artist Competition and the UFA Sonata Competition. She maintains an active commercial presence, and her music has reached millions through live international television broadcasts.

Kendra has a strong connection to contemporary flute music, and has recently received praise for her socially-conscious performances of new compositions dealing with topics such as climate change and economic inequality. She focuses on performing works written by women.
