In this studio we believe anyone can play the flute.

Find your music

In this flute studio, it's not just about teaching the flute.

It's about inspiring people to reach their full potential and helping them find

the self-fulfillment that comes with mastering a musical instrument.

I prioritize each student’s needs and goals, and ensure a nurturing

and positive environment to foster creativity and growth.

Come experience the joy of playing the flute.

From the youngest child to the oldest adult,

learning to play music can be incredibly rewarding.

As an active performer myself, I emphasize strong performance skills in my students. I teach students how to be confident, expressive, and responsible musicians in any environment. My studio thrives on the values of inclusivity and acceptance of all students at all levels and pushes students to be the best musicians they can be.

What if...

What if I'm too old to start playing?

You're not! I've taught retirees and busy moms, in addition to teaching children and teenagers. There are so many resources and performance opportunities for adults, so don't limit yourself based on your age!

What if I have a disability?

You're in good company. Accommodations can almost always be made. There are plenty of assistive devices, methods of teaching and performing, and ways of creating new

mental pathways that we can explore together.

What if I have stage fright?

So do I! In fact, most musicians I know have stage fright to some degree, even if it doesn't seem like it. There are countless ways to work through stage fright and have a successful performance, whether that's playing on a stage for a crowd or playing for family at home.

What if I change my mind about lessons?

That's okay--while I hope to work with you for a long time to come, I understand that not everyone can make a long-term commitment. If you decide to stop lessons, I ask for two weeks' notice so we can be sure to end on a high note!

About Me

Since 2018, I’ve been working with students of all ages and abilities and guiding them as they increase their practical and theoretical skills. As someone who has had to practice incredibly hard to get where I am today, I know the importance of a good flute teacher. I’ve taken everything I have learned over the years and combined it into an approach that is friendly, approachable, and highly effective.

I have performed as a soloist with the Emerald Singers, the Salt Lake City Men’s Chorus, and the Utah Valley University Symphony Orchestra, and have appeared regularly with the Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra and Utah Flute Choir. I  serve as principal flute of the Opera Orchestra and second flute of the Symphony Orchestra at Southern Methodist University in Texas and am an active member of SYZYGY and the National LGBT Flute Choir. I have performed in operas and Broadway-style musicals, including La Bohéme, Gianni Schicchi, Suor Angelica, The Tales of Hoffman, Oklahoma!, Guys and Dolls, and Fiddler on the Roof, to name a few. I'm a winner of concerto competitions and have received additional awards at the UMTA Young Artist Competition and the UFA Sonata Competition. I maintain an active commercial presence, and my music has reached millions through live international television broadcasts.

I hold a Bachelor of Music degree from Utah Valley University and will complete a Master of Music degree from Southern Methodist University in spring of 2025.
